These Terms govern your use of Bid Before Build, including free resources, paid remodel quote reviews, email communications, forms, and checkout flows. By using the site, checking the terms box before checkout, purchasing a review, or submitting materials, you agree to these Terms.
Educational use only
The kit, checklist, emails, and quote review materials are informational. They are not legal, engineering, architectural, inspection, insurance, permit, or code-compliance advice.
Quote review services
Paid reviews are based on the documents and project details you provide. We may flag vague scope, allowance risk, missing exclusions, payment schedule issues, change-order risk, and questions to ask before signing. We do not replace a licensed contractor, attorney, engineer, architect, inspector, insurance professional, or local building official.
Reviews are limited to the information you submit. We do not verify site conditions, inspect workmanship, confirm measurements, validate code or permit requirements, confirm licensing, confirm insurance coverage, negotiate with contractors, or supervise construction.
No contractor recommendation or approval
Bid Before Build does not recommend, select, endorse, approve, vet, supervise, inspect, manage, or guarantee any contractor, subcontractor, supplier, quote, contract, scope, price, timeline, material, permit path, payment schedule, or project decision.
If a review says a quote appears clearer, lower risk, higher risk, or preferable based on the documents provided, that statement is an educational observation only. It is not a recommendation to hire, sign, pay, proceed, stop work, terminate a contractor, or choose one contractor over another.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for contractor selection, contract review, hiring decisions, payments, deposits, scope approval, change orders, permit and code compliance, inspections, insurance, licensing checks, references, background checks, project management, safety decisions, and the final decision to sign, pay, proceed, pause, or cancel a project.
Before relying on any construction, legal, code, engineering, architecture, inspection, insurance, tax, safety, or permitting issue, consult the proper licensed professional or local authority.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee savings, price accuracy, contractor performance, contractor honesty, workmanship, project completion, schedule, quality, safety, permit approval, inspection results, insurance coverage, dispute outcomes, resale value, financing results, or any construction outcome. Remodel projects involve risk, and you accept that risk when making your own project decisions.
Payments and delivery
Paid review orders are processed through Stripe. After payment, send the requested quote, project notes, photos, allowances, or related documents to contractorxray@gmail.com so we can complete the review.
Paid reviews are delivered in writing by email. Live calls, meetings, phone consultations, and contractor negotiations are not included unless they are sold as a separate written offer.
Review timing depends on payment verification, receipt of usable documents, project complexity, and the review level purchased.
Refunds
If you purchased the wrong review or changed your mind before work has started, contact contractorxray@gmail.com. Once review work has started or been delivered, refunds are handled case by case unless a refund is required by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bid Before Build and its owners, operators, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost savings, cost overruns, project delays, contractor disputes, defects, property damage, personal injury, contractor misconduct, construction failure, permit or code issues, financing issues, or decisions you make after using the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the site, free resources, paid reviews, emails, or services is limited to the amount you paid Bid Before Build for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so these limits apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Third-party services and contractors
Stripe, Netlify, email providers, analytics tools, contractors, and other third parties are independent from Bid Before Build. We are not responsible for third-party services, contractor actions, contractor omissions, or any work performed on your property.
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bid Before Build and its owners and operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your project decisions, contractor relationships, submitted materials, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
Unless prohibited by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any required court proceeding will be brought in a court located in Florida unless the law requires a different location.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The version posted on this page controls your use of the site and services after the updated date.
